I couldn't find anyone else on the forums with the same problem, so assume it must be something I'm doing wrong, although I've followed the instructions completely, and have been installing Not a symfony problem. So even though I had installed the newer php package, the old php-cgi processes, that nginx talks to to run php scripts, were still running. At first I thought it was because token was not installed. Or the php.ini file may not be the one that should apply to your php version (Windows for example may have a few old ones in different places...) Want to reply to this thread? You probably don't have the tokenizer extension available or enabled, however on 5.3.5 it ought to be in the core and enabled by default. Solution: If PHP compiled without tokenizer (-disable-tokenizer), recompile it with tokenizer (-enable-tokenizer).
As you run Gentoo, I think it's disabled by default and you will need to set the "tokenizer" use flag and re-emerge. I'm getting the above error when installing (or upgrading to) v2.3.0-rc2 using build?flush=1. But it's better than the current behavior. What's your PHP version?
Thanks! Attached patch adds a dependency on token, but does not solve this problem. Do you need to know and cast the spell Scrying to use a Crystal Ball of True Seeing? token_get_all is defined by PHP.
