I insert the DVD into the drive and boot from it. The problem is that the Partition Magic seems unable to recognise my C drive partition anymore. I was going to use PM, but found that PM doesn't support Vista, so I bought Acronis Disk Director for the job. I'll do some tests on Win7 and see if I can make it "Bootable: No".

I was warned about these types of problems early on by someone who knew all about it. You should click Yes. - In Partition Table Doctor 3.5 chose Rebuild partition table(RPT) or press F3 on your keyboard. So I gave up, go back to Windows and start to google any solutions. if I try to resize the broken partition, it says "File system corrupt or unformatted" For a bit more detail, my HD is has 3 partitions as I said.
