The server was configured to run the website in 32-bit mode, but I was not able to run the application on my 64-bit machine because the localhost folder had not been navigate here The problem was my .cs and aspx files were not added to the project.

So i right clicked it and Manage Virtual directory > Advanced Settings > convert to Application changed the icon of virtual directory to a green earth icon.
I did that and still I'm having the same error.
